Flawed Monster Mania Worth Every Penny
One of Stephen King’s better adaptations, its story of a group of small-towners trapped inside a grocery store keeps coming at you –both freaky and frustrating in all the right places. It’s daring ending may shock but it’s chills aren’t easily shaken. If Rod Serling were still alive, this is a film he might make-with more smoking and less profanity, of course.
Grade: B+
Rated R for violence, terror and gore, and language
