The Kite Runner

The Biggest Oscar Oversight

A powerful story of two Afghan boys who are best friends and skilled kite flyers. Friendship, loyalty, tragedy, and politics are themes sensitively and sometimes terrifyingly examined. But the film’s hopeful spirit hits home despite the differences in our culture and language. Inexplicably shunned by the Oscars.
