An Oddly Fascinating Evening
There is something oddly fascinating and ultimately moving in this chamber drama about the relationship between an aging writer (Frank Langella) and the idolizing grad student (Lauren Ambrose) who wants to write his biography. Awkward and sometimes overly subtle, but compelling performances by a cast of normally supporting actors who make the most of their much deserved chance to carry a film.
Grade: B
Rated PG-13 for sexual content, language and brief nudity.
