“Everybody’s Hero” is a ground-rule double
While way out of the league of any of the Disney/Pixar or Dreamworks animated films, in style and substance, this kid’s film about a boy determined to return Babe Ruth’s bat to the slugger has its sweet spots. Despite an over reliance on pratfalls and constant bickering, the film has an uplifting message (Keep swinging!), a few nice songs, and even two normal families. Memorable if only for being the last project Christopher and Dana Reeve worked on together.
